Frequently asked questions

How do I convert HEX to RGB?

Split the six hex digits into three pairs and convert each from base 16 to decimal. #2F7DF6 is 2F = 47, 7D = 125, F6 = 246, so rgb(47, 125, 246). Type the HEX in the box and the RGB fields fill in for you.

What is the difference between HSL and HSV?

Both describe hue as an angle from 0° to 360°. HSL uses lightness (0% black to 100% white with the pure color at 50%), while HSV uses value, where 100% is the brightest version of the hue.

Does it support transparency?

Yes. Move the Alpha slider or enter an 8-digit HEX, rgba() or hsla() value, and the output formats include the alpha channel.

Is CMYK accurate for printing?

The CMYK shown is the standard mathematical conversion from RGB. Real print results depend on the printer’s ICC profile, so use it as an approximation.
