Frequently asked questions

How is daylight saving time handled?

The tool uses your browser’s built-in time zone database, so the offset used for each zone is the one in force on the date and time you enter, including DST changes.

What does UTC+05:30 mean?

It means the zone is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). India Standard Time is one example.

What happens at a daylight saving gap?

Times that do not exist because clocks spring forward are moved to the next valid time, and repeated hours when clocks fall back use the first occurrence.

Why is my zone list remembered?

Your chosen zones are stored only in your browser’s local storage so they are there next time. Nothing is sent to a server.
