Frequently asked questions
What Markdown syntax is supported?
Standard Markdown plus GitHub-flavored extensions: headings, emphasis, lists, task lists, links, images, blockquotes, inline and fenced code, tables, strikethrough and horizontal rules.
Is the HTML output safe to publish?
The converter does not sanitise raw HTML typed inside your Markdown, because Markdown allows it by design. If the Markdown comes from untrusted users, run the output through an HTML sanitiser before publishing.
Why is the preview in a sandboxed frame?
The sandbox blocks scripts and navigation so pasted content cannot run code on this page while you preview it.
How do I get line breaks to work like in chat apps?
Tick Treat line breaks as <br>. By default a single newline is joined into the same paragraph, as the Markdown specification says; two newlines start a new paragraph.
