Frequently asked questions
What is Open Graph?
Open Graph is a set of meta tags, originally from Facebook, that control the title, description and image shown when a page is shared. LinkedIn, Slack, WhatsApp and many other apps read them too.
Why is my preview not updating on Facebook or X?
Platforms cache link previews. After changing your tags, use Facebook’s Sharing Debugger or LinkedIn’s Post Inspector to force a re-scrape. X refreshes its cache on its own after a while.
What is the best image size?
1200×630 pixels with a 1.91:1 ratio, under 5 MB, as JPG or PNG. Keep important content away from the edges because some apps crop slightly.
Is this an exact copy of how each site shows links?
It is a close approximation of the layout. Real platforms may change styling or truncation, so test critical pages with each platform’s official debugger.
