Frequently asked questions

Are the numbers truly random?

They come from your browser’s cryptographically secure generator (crypto.getRandomValues) with rejection sampling, so every value in the range is equally likely. That is stronger than the Math.random function many sites use.

How do I pick lottery numbers?

Tap the Lottery 6/49 preset, or set the range and tick No repeats with the count you need. Each number can appear only once and results are sorted.

Are the minimum and maximum included?

Yes. Both ends of the range can be drawn. For a die, 1 to 6 includes both 1 and 6.

Can I use negative numbers or decimals?

Yes. Use a negative minimum, and choose a number of decimal places; values are drawn evenly across all steps in the range.
