Frequently asked questions

Will resizing distort my image?

Not if Lock aspect ratio is on, which is the default. Change the width and the height follows automatically, or vice versa. Turn the lock off only if you deliberately want to stretch the image.

Can I make an image larger?

Yes, but enlarging cannot add real detail, so results look softer the further you go. The Don't enlarge option protects small images when you batch-resize a mixed set.

What sizes do social networks use?

Common targets are 1080×1080 for Instagram posts, 1080×1920 for stories, 1200×630 for link previews and 1280×720 for YouTube thumbnails. Enter the width and height you need and the tool fits your image to it.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. Resizing happens in your browser with the canvas API; your files never leave your device.
