Frequently asked questions
Why does my photo appear sideways in the first place?
Phones often save photos in sensor orientation and add an EXIF tag saying how to display them. Some apps ignore that tag. This tool applies the EXIF orientation when loading and then writes the pixels the right way up, so the result looks correct everywhere.
Is rotating lossless?
Rotating by 90° steps and flipping do not resample pixels, so no detail is lost. Choose PNG output for a fully lossless file; JPG output re-encodes at the quality you select.
Can I rotate several images at once?
Yes. Add multiple images, set the rotation and flip once, and the same transform is applied to all of them. Download them individually or as a ZIP.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The rotation happens in your browser with the canvas API. Your files never leave your device.
