Frequently asked questions

How do I skip the cover page?

Set First page to number to 2. The cover stays blank and numbering starts on page 2. Use Start numbering at to decide what number that page shows, for example 1 or 2.

Can I add Page X of Y?

Yes. Choose the Page 1 of N format; the total is calculated for you from the number of pages being numbered.

Why are some characters not supported?

The numbers use the PDF’s standard built-in fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier), which cover digits and Latin text. Non-Latin prefixes are not supported.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Numbers are drawn onto the pages in your browser using pdf-lib, and the file never leaves your device.
